Laura Arroyo is a well established educator who received her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education and master's in educational technology from Cal State East Bay in 2014. Laura has been in education since 2010 in the private sector and has
been teaching Physical Education in the public school system beginning in 2014. Laura graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2009, earning her degree in Communications, minor in Business Management and received a scholarship to play for the University of the Pacific Women's Soccer team. After Laura graduated college, she pursued her dream of playing professional soccer in Sweden and Iceland. After her soccer career was over, Laura fell into teaching and began her journey as a physical education instructor. She always knew she wanted to have a career where she made a difference in the lives of children. Laura has a passion to help create and inspire healthy, active, lifestyles in her students. Her classes encompass the full self of a student, health, wellness, nutrition, movement, fitness and game play. Teaching kids the fundamentals of wanting to live healthy, active lifestyles is a driving force behind my lessons.
Laura moved to Placerville in 2021 with her husband, who is a Fire Captain with Sacramento City Fire. They bought a ranch house and filled their barn with 6 goats, 2 sheep and 2 donkeys. They welcomed their first boy in May of 2023 and their second boy in December 2024. Laura enjoys workouts on her Peloton, hiking with her husband, donkey hugs from Penelope and Ivy, playing with her two boys, and spending quality family time on the ranch. Laura is also a self-published writer and published her first Children’s book called Good Night Barn that is Red; inspired by her real-life farm animals.
